GENERAL INFO ABOUT THE FATD EXPERIENCE

We are currently accepting applications for all positions. While we may not be hiring right away for all positions, we will look at our file of applications before posting on social media and job sites!

The first six weeks of any position are a probationary period to make sure you are a good fit for us and we are a good fit for you. For most front of house positions, hourly pay rate is $12/hour for the first six week probationary period and then increases to $14/hour (this includes base pay + tip pool). For most back of house positions, hourly pay rate is $14 an hour (just depends on skill level and experience) and then after the six week probationary period it then increases to $16/hour (this includes base pay + tip pool).

All positions require signing a non-compete/non-disclosure agreement.

What we look for in FATD Staff in any position:

  • Enthusiastic, bubbly, motivated, and positive person with a β€œcan do!” attitude

  • Must be available during the specified hours of the job you are applying for. Priority will go to those that have a flexible schedule and are also willing to take on more hours during our busy holiday season (November and December). Typical shifts are 5:30am-1pm or 1pm-8:30pm but that will vary based on the job. We are currently open Tuesday-Saturday but we do have folks that work shifts during closed hours on Sunday and Monday.

  • Positive attitude even when the bakery is crowded, when there is a lot going on, and there's a million things to do :-)

  • Restaurant/bakery experience preferred but not required

  • You MUST be a people person - ability to speak genuinely to customers and coworkers, offer service and/or direction with a smile, and demonstrate southern hospitality is a requirement that we do not compromise on! Same with kitchen staff - ability to work with other members of the team, stay positive, and work together to get things done.

  • Ability to work independently or as a team - must be able to stay on task without getting distracted by things going on around you

  • Ability to multi-task and to work quickly and efficiently

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Understanding that bakery/restaurant work is HARD WORK. We work on VERY long to-do lists, we stand all the time, and we walk FAST. Being efficient is one of our most valued qualities.
